The mission of the Giannitsa Theatre Workshop (Θ.Ε.Γ) is to bring its members and the citizens of the wider region into contact with theatre and educate them about it. These statutory objectives are pursued through the production and presentation to the public of theatrical performances of ancient and modern world dramaturgy (Greek and foreign authors), through the commissioning of theatrical performances from other theatrical groups, through the creation of theatrical workshops for children, adolescents and adults, through the creation of experimental performances and performances, through the participation of its members in educational seminars, etc.

Another of our main goals is the spread of the theatrical phenomenon to all social groups of the population from the entire spectrum of the local and wider area of the city of Giannitsa, the Municipality of Pella, and the Regional Unit of Pella.

Our goal is not limited to staging performances to create impressions and does not remain in the epiphenomenon of the performance as a narcissistic differentiation from the rest of society. On the contrary, it seeks its connection with the real local, wider, and global happenings through substantial contact and investigation at all stages of the theatrical performance, from the creation or adaptation of texts for the creation of theatrical performances to their interaction with the audience.

Our motto for this goal is the question, “Do reality and theater meet in a common becoming, where the boundaries of one indistinguishably penetrate the boundaries of the other and vice versa?”
