PROJECT DESCRIPTION

We want to join cultural projects developed in coal regions in transition or connected to decarbonisation processes. Programmes in line with the European Green Deal and the New European Bauhaus, to co-create, adopt and disseminate enviroment-friendly practices, as well as to raise awareness on sustainable development through cultural activities Initiatives working on how to inspire, stimulate and activate a social transformation through arts and culture, to connect and recognise the value of former mining lands, from new perspectives, different from their extractive possibilities, with the participation of the community. The Paleobotanical of Fabero aims to increase cultural access to and participation in culture as well as audience engagement and development both physically and digitally.
We are looking for like-minded projects promoting interculturaldialogue and enhancing social inclusion as well as the communities’ resilience through culture, with special focus on
people with disabilities, minorities and socially marginalised groups.
We want to set up an International Cultural working groupalong with organisations based in coal regions in transition or connected to decarbonisation processes. A think tank to work
on how to inspire, stimulate and activate a socialtransformation through arts and culture. To build the capacity within the European cultural and creative sectors, including grass-roots organisations and micro-organisations, to be active at the international level –in Europe and beyond

ORGANISATION DESCRIPTION

The PALEOBOTANICAL AULA of Fabero is a non-for profit organisation founded to deepen the knowledge of the territory in which it is settled and for the appreciation of its paleontological and natural value. An initiative of neighbours and former miners who have come together to share their concerns to compile and care for a collection of fossils that reveals the creatures that inhabited these lands in the Carboniferous period, as well as the history of the people who have shaped it.
The PALEOBOTANICAL AULA of Fabero develops proposals crossed by the arts and culture stimulating people's imagination and skills. Initiatives that favour listening, dialogue and cohesion, developed with the interaction of the community
