PROJECT DESCRIPTION

We would like to participate as partners in Performing arts (Theatre) projects. Currently, we work in Madrid with two Social Theatre groups, coordinated by Escuela de Paz and La Escalera de Jacob (a cultural project born in December 2005 in which we seek to give space to different artistic proposals in an intimate atmosphere where you can feel part of the show).

The Movement for Peace - MPDL is an organisation that aspires to global peace, where full respect for human rights, democratic governance, equality and solidarity among people and peoples is ensured. We work from a rights-based approach to promote a culture of peace through peace research, prevention and action in the face of all types of violence.
For more than 25 years we have been developing educational and awareness-raising projects aimed at improving the living conditions of people at risk of social exclusion. In this field, our most important project is the Escuela de Paz.
Since 2012, La Escuela de Paz is a socio-educational project that seeks to respond to the needs existing in the neighborhood of Vallecas (Madrid Southside) in terms of education, participation, association, leisure and healthy free time, etc. with the aim of improving the living conditions of both the people who are part of it and our community.
The central axis of this proposal is Education. We believe and work in it for personal and collective development through cooperative learning, understanding, communication, the creation of friendly spaces for learning and social participation, confidence, esteem, creativity, education in responsibility and the use of socio-affective methodologies. In short, we want to educate with a comprehensive and transformative vision.
