PROJECT DESCRIPTION

People & Deltas" is a visual art project, which aims to document the cultural diversity of delta areas by putting the inhabitants of the deltas in the foreground.  Deltas are generally associated with flora & fauna. A simple Google Images search confirms this: no locals appear on the first page of results; the few people who show up are tourists. We will naturally approach people from varied places and social categories without looking for the extremes, we will stay away from topics mostly found in the mainstream media. We will take photos and interviews with people from deltas in different countries, thus carrying out a comparative visual study. Then we will present it in multimedia exhibitions both in dedicated spaces (museums in cities) and in areas with limited access to
culture. A selection of the gathered materials will be uploaded on a dedicated website.
