The Transylvania Trust Foundation, established in 1996, is dedicated to the cultural heritage of Transylvania, Romania. Its primary goal is the sustainable protection of built heritage, achieved through integrated conservation projects. The Trust is active in cultural heritage, education, and historic building management. Since its early days, it has been committed to the care of Bánffy Castle in Bonțida, Cluj County, restoring it from a ruinous state and managing its revitalization for over two decades through innovative initiatives. In 2008, the Trust's restoration approach received the Europa Nostra Award in the Education, Training, and Awareness-Raising category.

Over the years, the Trust has expanded its focus to include the protection and promotion of traditional crafts and fostering artistic creativity. It has participated in international projects for 20 years, including several cultural and cooperation projects funded by the Creative Europe Programme, Erasmus, and other initiatives. These projects encompass artistic residencies that encourage artist mobility, interdisciplinary residencies that combine arts, crafts, design, and technology to foster creation and innovation, and non-formal educational projects for schoolchildren to enhance their understanding of built and cultural heritage.
