ORGANISATION DESCRIPTION

DOWN ESPAÑA brings together 90 institutions related to Down syndrome throughout Spain, becoming a benchmark among Down syndrome organizations in our country. We are part of international associations such as the European Down Syndrome Association (EDSA) and Down Syndrome International (DSI), and we are founding members of the Ibero-American Down Syndrome Federation (FIADOWN).
We aim to facilitate the inclusion of people with Down syndrome in all areas of their lives and to ensure compliance with the International Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
We work to achieve the personal autonomy of the Down syndrome collective, through our programmers and publications on Early Care, Health, Inclusive Education, Supportive Employment, Independent Living, Sport, Culture, Research Information and Awareness. We support not only people with Down syndrome, but also their families in all their life stages, managing their full integration into society.
