SUPPORTED ART STUDIOS TO EXCHANGE EXPERIENCES, WORSHOPS OR EXHIBITIONS
Our mission is to create a space where people with intellectual diversity or those battling with mental health disorders are encouraged and supported to explore their artistic expression. Our activity is the result of a long experience in managing national and international artistic and social innovation projects.

ORGANISATION DESCRIPTION

BERDE has been working since the beginning to facilitate access to creation/creativity/artistic expression that will lead to the consolidation of a stable change for people with functional diversity within the framework of artistic and visual creation. The programmes developed so far have been offering a growing number of participants quality training and experiences integrated in the most relevant cultural spaces in Asturias: The Atlantic Botanical Garden, the Museum Network of Gijón, the Cultural Factory of Avilés, the International Film Festival of Gijón and in the near future, the Centre of Art and La Laboral. In addition to promote the project at a local level, we are seeking internalisation by opening up European lines of cooperation. We have been selected to take part in Voices of Culture, a European project to generate project ideas and policy recommendations for the cultural and creative sectors and decision-makers on the topic of the role of the cultural and creative sectors in improving mental health of young people.
