Universal Art Design: Transformacja relacji i nowy język sztuki

The UAD (Universal Art Design) is an innovative project that aims to support diversity and inclusive art development of young emerging artists, including those with disabilities and from marginalized groups as fully-fledged artists. Objectives include enhancing awareness, competence, and skills in inclusive art-making, universal design, and integration of young artists.The project emphasizes social inclusion and audience development, fostering an intercultural dialogue among artists from Poland, Serbia, and Italy. Through capacity building,artistic residencies, and a festival, the project aims to create a model for universal design in the performing arts issued in a Handbook to be disseminated throughout the project. The project addresses the needs of young artists in each partner region, with a focus on equal inclusion of those with disabilities and from marginalized groups. It seeks to empower participants, promote social awareness, and combat discrimination through experiential learning, sensitization workshops, and anti-discrimination workshops. Artistic residencies provide a platform for creative expression, with the overall goal of developing conscious competence among young artists.

Our project consortium, formed by three organizations from distinct backgrounds and three countries (Italy, Poland, and Serbia), is a collaborative effort unifying diverse entities: Wojewodzki Osrodek Animacji Kultury (WK), a public cultural institution from Toruń, Poland; Kulturanova (KN), a Serbian association fostering intercultural dialogue and youth creativity; and Teatro Stabile del Veneto (TSV), a major Italian production theatre. This unique blend includes a range of expertise, from WK’s commitment to social inclusion and universal design to KN’s extensive experience in international projects and collaboration with marginalized groups, and TSV’s rich tradition in the performing arts and dedication to accessibility.
