ORGANISATION DESCRIPTION

‘Boulouki’ is a versatile collective of architects, engineers and heritage professionals, founded in 2018 in Athens, Greece. Our practice focuses on remote and mountainous areas, and we have mainly worked in the Epirus region and in the islands of Cyclades. Our vision is to promote a renewed building culture in Greece and worldwide, drawing from traditional knowledge and techniques, towards truly sustainable building. Our four action pillars include research (ethnographic, material, architectural), education (apprenticeships, hands-on workshops, land-based pedagogy), practice (restorations, sustainable renovations, new constructions), and public dialogue (exhibitions, publications, advocacy campaigns, academic contribution).
